Upgrade to Desktop -- end of june auth patch
Hi. I just installed the test version of Spaz to deal with the upcoming auth stuff. I have two accounts: Kibitzer and Pseudopod_org. I was logged in as Kibitzer. It sorta almost worked, or maybe it worked exactly as it was meant to -- this may be my hazy understanding of how the new auth stuff works. Here's what happened:
- Applied new version.
- Spaz asked me to re-auth accounts.
- Spaz said, let's start with Pseudopod_org.
- Spaz showed me the Account Details screen and then the Twitter screen to authorise Spaz.
- I got a failwhale.
- I closed the Twitter auth screen and clicked "Re-authorize" on the Account Details screen.
- I got the Twitter screen to authorise Spaz.
- Twitter gave me back a PIN which I entered into the Account Details screen.
- That all seemed to work.
- I then expected Spaz to ask me about the Kibitzer account, but it didn't. (This might be my mis-understanding of how the new auth stuff works -- or maybe the fail whale screwed it up)
- Spaz went back to the Kibitzer timeline.
- I then went to Prefs and re-authorised the Kibitzer account myself.
- When the Account Details screen came up for Kibitzer, it still had the Pseudopod_org PIN.
- I got the Twitter screen to authorise Spaz.
- Twitter gave me back another PIN which I entered into the Account Details screen.
- Now everything works fine.

Yeah, that's not entirely right. It should have moved on to the next account. I'll keep plugging at it some, but I suppose the fact that it worked in the end is encouraging.

Just now tried new version (0.9.23??). The process went as I expected this time (i.e. Pseudo first then Kibitzer, then back to timeline). Only problem was, it seemed to get stuck when it went back to Kibitzer's timeline. I had to fast-switch to Pseudopod_org then back to Kibitzer to get the personal timeline working again. When I say it got stuck, I mean it stayed on the timeline screen with the spinner showing.

Right. Hopefully you won't have to mess with it anymore from now on.
