Hi there. I just switched to Spaz from Witty, because Witty was
having connectivity issues that finally drove me nuts. None such so
far with Spaz! And I like the mini skin a lot -- twitter clients
seem to love to take up real estate, for some reason, and that's
not my style. But here are a couple things I miss from Witty that
I'd love to see implemented.
1.) keyboard shortcut to activate the update field. 1a.) keyboard shortcut to focus Spaz/restore it from the task tray, a feature Witty doesn't have but one I like in a number of other apps.
2.) update balloons appearing when Spaz is minimized to the tray
3.) ability to show update balloons for only selected accounts I follow
4.) ability to show just @ replies to me and/or just direct messages to me -- that, in particular, was useful when I'd post from my phone but not get back to my computer for a while (I don't get twitter updates on my phone because it would be going off all the time)
So far, Spaz seems like a well-written and efficient client, though. Thank you!

Some of this you can do now, but it's not obvious:
1a. A good idea.
You may be interested in the newest bleeding edge builds as well. The latest build can be found here:

Bubbles definitely disappear for me when Spaz is in the tray -- running Vista Business Ed., just reinstalled this weekend (fun times), so that shouldn't have any unusual quirks causing problems. I'll check out the newest build & see if they pop up or not.
CTRL T is awesome, and I saw something about CTRL F but the description didn't seem to match what I was looking for so, stupidly/lazily I didn't even try it. :D Hate that I missed those, and admitted it in public, even. Oh well!

Yeah, the descriptions (and frankly, the shortcut choices) are
sub-optimal. Trying to fix that in the new versions.
