search for people and search only within following

it doesn't seem that there's an easy way to find people. not even the ones you're following!
also, it would be nice to have an option to only perform searches within the people you are following.
any ideas?

    That's something we're looking at, but being mobile and the API rate limits can be an issue. Probably getting data on who you are following, 100 at a time, is coming soon.

    I found a workaround, though it won't always work: search for @ e.g. @slashdot
