visual indicator on nav icons if new tweets are present

I know we get a "notification" pop up when new replies or DM's are found. But it'd also be nice to have a visual indicator (like an overlay or something) on the main category nav icons (the nav bar at the bottom) to let me know which ones have new stuff for me to check. "TweetMe" webos twitter client did this and I found it very helpful.
