Logging in on Webos
Hey,
I just downloaded the app and am trying to log in. However my
emailaddress has a special character in it ( _ to be precise) and
somehow the input field won't take these characters (only those I
have to enter via the Sym-key, the others work perfectly). It works
fine with other apps, so I guess this must be a problem with spaz?
Any help would be appreciated.
I dont know if this is important, but I am using webos 2.1.0.

Use your username - not your email address - to log-in

Thanks for your answer. This doesnt make a difference though, the same problem there as well.

Maybe you could take a screenshot, so I can see where you are trying to enter the underscore? I've never had anyone report this in 2+ years.

my Twitter handle is _jaf0 and I've never had an issue...is the issue in the web browser when you're logging in for the oauth key?

At the moment I'm not even getting to this point. Whenever I click on "Add account" and then "Log in and get Pin" it takes a while and then pops up an error message saying that there was an "error getting a request token from Twitter".
I don't know, maybe there's just something wrong with twitter and their API or so (or even my phone?), because I now also got an error while trying to log in with two other apps with twitter functionality (in normal webbrowser it works).

One thing to double check is the time on your device – make sure it's correct. Otherwise, if you get the error about getting a req token, that's something where our initial attempt to contact twitter is failing for some reason on their end.

I'm running a heavily patched/overclocked/franken'd pre on sprint with 2.1.0 on it; I recall possibly having a similar issue, but I believe it resolved itself. Have you tried rebooting the phone and/or switching to WiFi for the time being?

Then I think the time is the problem. My phone has decided last week, that it wants to randomly choose the current time, no matter how often I correct it.
Thanks for your support! Much appreciated :)

have you tried checking the settings in the Date / time applet? Are network time and network time zone both enabled? If you're roaming, sometimes that may also be an issue. I recall getting funky timestamps on Messages...

I always had them enabled. But then I disabled them because of this weird behaviour, but it didn't make a difference. I'll probably go see and the vendor about this, the phone is not so old yet.
Anyway, it's working now. Thanks again! :)
