Had to start a new thread since the last was closed before I could respond. I have had Spaz open all day and just checked it before coming here. Even though I have it set to refresh every 5 minutes, it hadn't refreshed in 5 hours. I have an android phone next to me and have been getting new tweet notifications all day, but have seen nothing from Spaz. When I refresh manually new tweets appear and a notification shows up.

Actually I think I know what the issue here is – in webOS 3.0.2 they disabled a standard JS function call, setInterval, when an app is not in the foreground. We'll need to recode it to use another method.

ipk didn't fix it. Still won't update in background (card was still open)

Same here. Wasn't very nice of them to change the API like that for a 3.0.x update :-P

nope. We're all volunteers, doing this in our spare time. Personally, I've been working during the day and trying to spend time with my family in the evening.
The solution will likely be non-trivial because of the functionality that's been disabled in the OS.
Any interested parties are welcome to contribute code.
